Sergio Andres Perez Beracasa, M.D. specializes in interventional and structural cardiology as well as general cardiology. He is Board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine. He specializes in the treatment of coronary artery and valvular heart disease and performs procedures such as coronary angioplasty and stenting, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and left atrial appendage closure, among others. Dr. Perez is also Board certified in Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Perez was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Colombia. He completed medical school at the University of Valle in Cali, Colombia. Dr. Perez completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, and Interventional Structural Heart Disease Fellowship at the Jackson Health System/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Perez is a big soccer fan. He also enjoys reading and spending time with his wife and family.
