Scott Sims, M.D. is an invasive cardiologist specializing in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He performs diagnostic heart catheterizations and pacemaker implants as well as the interpretation of echocardiography and nuclear studies. He is Board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine.
Dr. Sims is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Physician’s Carraway Medical Center and he completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Tulane University School of Medicine.
During his time away from his medical practice, Dr. Sims enjoys time with his wife and son as well as being an avid supporter of the University of Alabama athletics.
